Odell Beckham Jr. and Watchgate 2019
Odell Beckham Jr. expensive watch, a $350,000.00 Richard Mille Chronograph, is causing quite a stir in the National Football League (Chris Berman Voice)! The star wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns wore the status symbol jewelry during the Browns season opener against the Tennesee Titans, a 43-13 debacle in this highly anticipated game.
The league has come out saying that it feels like it violates a rule against wearing hard objects. The watch, which retails brand new in the $300K range, has mostly a rubber exterior. The manufacturer describes it as:
RICHARD MILLE FELIPE MASSA RM011 IS A BEAUTIFUL MEN’S TIMEPIECE THAT IS POWERED BY AN AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT WHICH IS CASED IN A TITANIUM CASE. IT HAS A TONNEAU SHAPE FACE, CHRONOGRAPH, DATE, SMALL SECONDS SUBDIAL, TACHYMETER DIAL AND HAS HAND ARABIC NUMERALS STYLE MARKERS. IT IS COMPLETED WITH A RUBBER BAND THAT OPENS AND CLOSES WITH A DEPLOYANT.

Odell Beckham on Planning to Wear His $350k Watch Again; Claims That He’s Being Singled Out & If He Wore a Poor Man’s Watch No One Would Care. Beckham Jr. said that “It shouldn’t be an issue”, meaning why is it being made out to be such a big deal.
“For what? You gotta look into the rule book. It says you can’t wear any hard objects. The watch is plastic. When people have on knee braces that are hard and made out of metal you don’t see them taping it up. No jewelry, everyone else got jewelry on so I’m good.”
